Fast Friday

Earlier this week I was filming a commercial for the HSM World Business Forum to be held October 6-7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. I’ll be speaking at the event along with President Bill Clinton, Jack Welch, Jeffrey Sachs, Paul Krugman, and George Lucas. We kept the camera rolling and I recorded my of-the-moment thinking about the challenges of the current economy, Winning Ugly, the heightened relevance of Lovemarks, and the big coming together of retail and sustainability. About 4 minutes. Have a big Saturday night.

Resume
To Whom it may concern.
I drove home this evening with tears in my eyes from a busy night in a warm and happy place filled with the sound of friends, some of whom work for me, some who work with me and some of whom I serve with honour, pleasure and love …..unconditionally.!
and yet all of them knowing whether it be conscious or not on our combined journey together …..that we enjoyed each others company.
What a moment of beauty
What a gift it is to not only have but to be able to share in a room of complete strangers that special un-teachable art which is to be able to make people at ease, comforted , comfortable, chatty, funny, HAPPY! and a hundred other positive emotions, to feed them and care for them to make sure their lives are o.k and that you really are interested……..unconditionally
To give them hope for tomorrow of sunshine and views, or listen to the woes the following evening and hear tales of drenchings and walks far longer than is humanly possible, not a lie among them not a tale stretched beyond belief.. because for whoever they were it was their nemesis today out there.
What a day, what pleasure, what a memory!!!! Dreamweavers…..WE!
So for that one time when they get away from the stress and problems that we all call home or work or our own back yard and for that short space of time,
We took you away from it not in a special synthetic created way.
But in the way we only know how and in way that we truly believe
That of love, family and friendship….
Unconditionally….Except the risk of not being able to return…
So look after those that care for you… there around you everywhere and treat them with kindness they just want to sit in the warmth and tell you of there Everest.

Why were there tears in my eyes?
Because I came to the realisation that I have to let one of my finest friends go and if you miss this opportunity you will never know how hard this feels!
